random thoughts
I can’t wait to start using my new planner! It almost feels like the beginning of a new quarter when I can use new notebooks and such. Yeah, that’s one reason why I look forward to school. (Does that make me sound nerdy?)
Chris and I went shopping today. He found a really good deal on jeans, while I went home empty-handed. What is this!?
I could’ve went over to Chris’...

Day 9: What are you looking forward to in 2012?
The “End of the World.” Just kidding.
TV shows coming back? Kidding, again.
Even though I don’t have anything big planned, it is a new year, and that always means looking forward to a new beginning. January always brings that promise of leaving all the bad stuff behind and starting clean and fresh.
So here’s looking forward to: life changes, new challenges, and great...

happy new years - via staley
My internship co-worker blogged this, and I felt like sharing!
“The point is people, no matter what your situation, you have a lot to look forward to this year. Whether you are with someone you can hold close or yet to find someone to have close. I just want to say good love is on the way. Someone thinks you’re beautiful and someone is going to love you.” -john mayer

Day 8: Things you hope for in 2012.
I guess the thing I hope for the most is to accomplish being the person I set out to be. If I am able to use the energy and resources I have to complete this, I know I can make it big in life! ;)

Day 7: 10 things you want to say 10 people.
I know we’re not super close, but I really like that you are really open with me and constantly make an effort in our friendship.
We don’t always agree on things, but that doesn’t stop us from being good friends. Our catch up sessions are always filled with laughter, which I love.
You’re super cute, always open to trying new things, and you have your own opinion on a lot...

I miss Taiwan!
katiechang:
I miss the bustling streets, the city lights, the night market, the fact that you can just walk out of your house and there would be food accessible just a couple doors down, the milk tea, the food omg the food, the riverside in the city my cousins live in, the MRT, re-familiarizing myself with the language, my family there, everything.
Ohp, minus the mood-swing, crazy hot weather...
Symptoms of inner peace:

A loss of interest in judging other people.
A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of other.
A loss of interest in conflict.
A loss of the ability to worry.
Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.

Day 6: Any words of wisdom/advice for anyone?
Since this year was a job-searching-year for me.. and I like quotes:
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
Mark Twain says it the best! Try new experiences to see what you like.
If you...

Day 5: Describe an adventure you had this year.
I can’t really pinpoint any specific adventure, but I did have a lot of firsts:
First Vegas trip after turning 21 thanks to my boyfriend surprising me!
First time going to a Sharks game
First time eating at a michelin star restaurant (Alexander’s Steakhouse)
First time going to a (Sharks) playoff game
First Vegas trip with alcohol
First time going to a drive in theater
First...
followandreblog:
I like when people I follow make text posts about just anything in general, about their life or what they’re feeling or just anything. It makes following the person more fun and I get to see the personality of the person I’m following. Reblogged posts are okay, but it’s fun to know the person behind the blog too.

Day 4: Something you’ve learned this year.
I choose… to live by choice, not by chance. To make changes, not excuses. To be motivated, not manipulated. To be useful, not used. To excel, not compete. I choose self-esteem, not self pity. I choose to listen to my inner voice. Not the random opinion of others.

Day 3: A person who has impacted your life in some...
The person who has impacted my life this year isn’t a family member, a close friend, or even someone I see or talk to frequently. The person is actually Xavi, who is the owner of the wedding planning company I could’ve interned at a few months ago.
My interview with Xavi lasted probably only half an hour, but at the end of that conversation, I felt like my dreams are possible. The...

Day 2: How much have you changed overall in 2011?
To put it bluntly, 2011 kind of slapped me in the face and told me to wake up and smell the roses. I used to embrace the whole college experience - staying up late, going out with friends, drinking at bars.. the whole shebang. But little by little, I realized that I shouldn’t be wasting my life on solely having fun.
I can’t really pinpoint the exact moment that made me realize that...

zaedilux:
And I find myself compelled to agree.
Love isn’t as complicated as we make it out to be. It’s the most simple, most elemental, most pure, most beautiful feeling, emotion, thingamajig, whatever you want to call it that beats in our hearts.
Unfortunately, it’s also the most intangible sentiment. We can’t quantify it. Your ‘I love you so much’ could be so much less than my ‘I love you...
