Per Mika’s request (and seeing how I haven’t posted anything personal since the end of February), I have an update on my life!
In the middle of March, Chris and I went to SF MOMA to celebrate our 1.5 years together! He’s not a big museum person, but he still tagged along without complaining while I admired all the artwork. :)
I started working full time cause my mom kept bugging me about it. “Make money while you look for a full time what-you-really-want-to-do-job.” So I did, but now the problem is that I’m too busy with work, tutoring kids, doing my two internships, and taking classes… that I have no time to look for a full time wedding related job. And that is why I’m hardly ever on Tumblr (I check it once every 4 days). Gasp, I know! I work until 5:30pm everyday, tutor kids until 8pm or 8:30pm, eat dinner, shower, and then study or do internship assignments until 1:30am. I don’t even get to watch any TV shows until the weekend.. and you know how much I love watching TV… Truth is, I hardly have time for anything fun during the weekdays, so I don’t even get to see my boyfriend very much. The real life is tough, I tell ya. But as tired as I am day after day, week after week, I have planned out how I’m going to approach/attack how I’m going to “continue following my dreams.” So, no worries!
My birthday rolled along, and Chris surprised me with flowers at work! My co-workers were all ohh-ing and ahh-ing, and my boss mentions to me how smart my boyfriend is. I asked her, “How so?” And she replied, “He must know that our company has a lot of men. So he sends flowers as a warning to all the guys here to back off.” We all had a good laugh about that! After work, Chris surprised me (once again) by taking me out to Forbes Mills Steakhouse in Danville.
If you thought I had a boba problem in college, you should see me now. There are so many days when I need to grab a cup of boba during lunch just to make it through the afternoon.
My bestie Jason and I talked about having a dual birthday bash for the longest time, and we finally made it happen.. in Vegas, of course! First night was GNO = great adventures with Amy! ;) Second night was dinner at Fleur by Hubert Keller and clubbing at Surrender. Their bottle service is so much better than Marquee’s! And before we left Vegas, we got to try Lotus of Siam, which was apparently The Best Thai Restaurant in North America.
At work, I got to befriend Jing, who started working a few days before me. We basically have the same position with different responsibilities. It’s really amazing how similar we are - from the way we act to the way we think… So of course, it’s no wonder we’re inseparable at work! Our co-workers find it weird if they see one of us, but not the other, hah.
And last, but not least, my boyfriend surprised me with tickets to the Sharks Playoff Game (3)! I wish we could’ve won… but I gotta say, either way, playoff games are so much more exciting than regular season games. And I finally got a Sharks towel, woot! :)
Anyways, I just picked 9 photos of big moments in my life the past two months. But, I hope that’s good enough for those who are wondering what I’m doing! I’m pretty sure I’m still going to be super busy until the end of June, so until next time..!
